Mawa Creative was engaged to redesign and develop the official website for CEPA, a leading Malawian organization dedicated to environmental policy and advocacy. The objective was to create a modern, user-friendly, and accessible platform that would effectively showcase CEPA’s work while ensuring the seamless integration of their extensive digital library.

Challenges:

• The existing website was built on Python and Plone, making updates and content management challenging for CEPA’s team.

• The digital library housed a vast collection of policy documents, research papers, and advocacy materials that needed to be migrated without data loss.

• The website lacked a modern, intuitive design, limiting its usability and engagement.

1. Redesign & Development: We built the new website using WordPress, leveraging Elementor Pro for a visually appealing and easy-to-manage interface.

2. Content Migration: We successfully migrated CEPA’s digital library to Tainacan, a powerful open-source repository system, ensuring a seamless search and categorization experience.

3. Enhanced Functionality: The new site includes interactive features such as an advanced search function, a resources hub, and a responsive design for optimal viewing on all devices.

4. User Training: We provided hands-on training to CEPA’s team, equipping them with the skills to manage content updates independently.
